This Privacy Policy explains how information may be processed when you use GATE VPN, including its VPN connection, Speed Test, IP Details, and Add Time features.
By using GATE VPN, you acknowledge the practices described in this Privacy Policy.
1. Information You Provide
GATE VPN does not require you to create an account or provide your name, phone number, or email address to use its main features.
If you contact us for assistance, we may receive:
• Your email address
• The content of your message
• Screenshots or diagnostic information you choose to provide
We use this information to respond to your request and provide support.
2. Android VpnService and VPN Connections
GATE VPN uses Android’s VpnService to provide its core VPN connection functionality.
When you tap Connect and approve the Android VPN permission request, VpnService creates and manages a virtual VPN interface on your device. Supported network traffic is routed through the selected VPN server while the connection is active.
Providing this functionality may require temporary technical processing of:
• Your IP address
• The selected VPN location
• Connection status
• Connection start and end times
• Session duration
• VPN protocol and IP version
• Technical information required to establish and maintain the VPN tunnel
GATE VPN does not use VpnService to collect personal information for purposes unrelated to providing and managing the user-initiated VPN connection.
Provided that this reflects the App’s actual implementation, we do not intentionally inspect, record, or store:
• Browsing history
• The content of network traffic
• Messages or communications
• Passwords entered into websites or other apps
• Files transmitted through the VPN connection
VPN traffic content is not used for advertising or unrelated user profiling.
3. Speed Test
The Speed Test feature may process technical network measurements, including:
• Download speed
• Upload speed
• Network latency
• Network type
• Testing server information
• Test time and diagnostic results
These measurements are used to perform the requested test and display its results. Results may vary depending on the device, network, selected server, and testing conditions.
4. IP Details
The IP Details feature may display:
• Current public IP address
• Selected VPN location
• VPN protocol
• IP version
• Current connection status
This information is processed to display details about the active connection. It is not intended to determine your precise physical location.
5. Advertising and Add Time
GATE VPN may display third-party advertisements, including rewarded advertisements.
When you choose to complete an eligible rewarded action, additional VPN connection time may be added to the current session.
Advertising providers may process information such as:
• Advertising ID
• IP address
• Device type and operating-system version
• App version
• General region
• Ad impressions, clicks, and rewarded-ad interactions
• Diagnostic and fraud-prevention information
Third-party advertising providers process information according to their own privacy policies.
Where required by applicable law, consent will be requested before data is used for personalized advertising. You may also be able to limit advertising personalization through your Android device settings.
6. Automatically Processed Technical Information
Depending on the App version and the third-party services included in it, the following technical information may be processed:
• Device type and model
• Android version
• App version
• Language and general region
• Network type
• IP address
• Connection events and duration
• Crash reports
• Performance and diagnostic information
• Advertising identifiers and interactions
This information may be used to operate the App, maintain connections, diagnose errors, prevent abuse, measure advertising performance, and improve functionality.
7. How Information Is Used
Information may be used to:
• Establish and maintain VPN connections
• Display connection status and session duration
• Provide available VPN locations
• Perform Speed Tests
• Display IP and connection details
• Add connection time after eligible rewarded actions
• Diagnose crashes and technical problems
• Prevent abuse, fraud, and security incidents
• Display and measure advertisements
• Respond to support requests
• Comply with applicable legal obligations
8. How Information May Be Shared
Information may be processed or shared when reasonably necessary with:
• VPN infrastructure and hosting providers
• Advertising and rewarded-ad providers
• Crash-reporting and analytics providers
• Technical service providers
• Legal authorities when required by applicable law
• A successor entity in connection with a merger, acquisition, restructuring, or transfer of assets
We do not sell the content of VPN traffic or browsing history.
Third-party providers process information under their own terms and privacy policies.
9. Data Retention
Information is retained only for as long as reasonably necessary to operate the App, maintain service stability, prevent abuse, resolve technical problems, and comply with applicable legal obligations.
Any VPN connection or diagnostic records maintained by us should be limited to the minimum information and retention period necessary to operate and protect the service.
Third-party providers retain information according to their own privacy policies.
10. Data Security
We use reasonable administrative and technical safeguards designed to protect information from unauthorized access, misuse, loss, or alteration.
However, no VPN service, internet transmission, or storage system can guarantee complete security or anonymity.
11. Children’s Privacy
GATE VPN is not directed to children under the minimum age required by applicable law.
We do not knowingly collect personal information from children without appropriate authorization. If you believe a child has provided personal information through the App, contact us so we can review and delete it where required.
12. Your Privacy Rights
Depending on your location, you may have the right to:
• Request access to personal information associated with you
• Request correction or deletion
• Object to or restrict certain processing
• Withdraw consent
• Opt out of certain advertising uses
• Submit a complaint to a data-protection authority
Because GATE VPN does not require an account, we may be unable to associate certain technical information with a particular user unless sufficient details are provided with the request.
13. International Data Processing
VPN servers and third-party service providers may operate in countries other than your country of residence. Technical information may therefore be processed in jurisdictions with different data-protection laws.
Where required, appropriate measures will be used for international data transfers.
14. Third-Party Services
The App may use third-party VPN infrastructure, advertising, analytics, diagnostic, or hosting services.
We are not responsible for the independent privacy practices of third-party services. You should review the privacy policies of the relevant providers.
